The Opportunity

Flex4 is the UK developer of a highly successful print eCommerce and web to print solution, we now need an experienced full stack PHP developer to join our team based in Kendal, Cumbria.

This is an opportunity for you to play a leading role in a close-knit team that shares ideas and experiences, to help our software grow from its leading market position and that our clients receive high quality support.

We would like to see developers who…

  • Have excellent coding and problem-solving abilities with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Enjoy overcoming a variety of challenges.
  • Commercial experience with PHP and SQL.
  • Commercial experience of front-end web technologies such as Vue.js.
  • Experience with web server technology such as Nginx or Apache.
  • An enthusiasm to work collaboratively as part of a team and to lead by example.
  • The ability to take ownership of the delivery of projects.
  • The drive to continue learning new skills, technologies and frameworks.
  • Be looking for a new challenge in a business where they can make a difference
  • Are happy with a hybrid working arrangement, with ideally at least 1 day per week working from our office in Kendal.

Candidates should have the relevant skills and commercial experience for this role. The candidate may be a graduate who has gained at least 1 years’ experience in a full stack development role.

Location

Our offices are based in Kendal (Cumbria) close to both the beautiful Lake District and Yorkshire Dales national parks. Kendal is easily accessible from the M6 motorway and has good train links, with a station on the West Coast mainline.
